It is the only static sealing product in the nuclear island that has not yet been localized due to its complex structure, difficult technology and high quality control requirements. So far, it is still monopolized by a foreign company. The joint research and development of the product by China Academy of Sciences and Suzhou Baohua will break through the technical monopoly of foreign products on China and form independent intellectual property rights. Especially after the mass production of the product, it will have a huge domestic and foreign market.
Yang Zhongqin, President of China Science and Technology Corporation, pointed out in his concluding speech that at present, many core components of nuclear power plants have been monopolized by foreign enterprises. He hopes to realize the localization of such components through cooperation with Suzhou Baohua, and actively occupy the domestic and foreign markets.
